On May 22, 2020, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis issued a statewide order to resume all organized youth activities (including sports and summer camps) effective immediately. In light of that, the Florida Youth Soccer Association (FYSA) gave the green light for youth soccer (trainings, practices, and tryouts) to resume across the state on May 25th, in “compliance with all local government guidelines and restrictions.”
Like the rest of us with soccer-loving kids, odds are your player is bouncing off the walls during the COVID-19 quarantine. Don’t let their skills stagnate or even decline. There are plenty of free resources online and on social media that can help them maintain and improve their level of play and even burn off some energy in the process! (Parents and family members–be sure to monitor your child’s use of any online resources to ensure that they’re accessing and using the web safely.)
Tommy Thompson of the San Jose Earthquakes has some great (and FREE) YouTube videos that our DOC recommends to improve soccer skills. You can find them right here!
For more free online and social media content to help keep up or improve your player’s skills, check out our Player Resources page!

Tony brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the club and we look forward to continued growth and success under his direction.
